Role Summary:

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain efficient data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in managing large datasets and ensuring data integrity and security. This role will involve working with various data sources, including ServiceNow data, to support our business intelligence and analytics efforts. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and well-structured for various analytical and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including ServiceNow, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security.
  • Develop and implement data models, schemas, and metadata to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Utilize modern data tools and platforms to enhance data workflows and solutions.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Document data workflows, processes, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior data engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Permanent Resident Card or American Citzenship 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Modern Data Toolset, including Fabric, Synapse, Azure ML, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Lakehouses.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools, such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache Nifi.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their data services.
  • Knowledge of database systems, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow data and integrating it with other data sources is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
